Patate di primavera

Patate e formaggio, connubio perfetto

  • 500 gr di fromage blanc (o fiocchi di latte)
  • 6 cucchiai di crème fraiche (oppure 4 cucchiai di mascarpone e 2 di yogurt)
  • un mazzetto d erba cipollina
  • sale

Spring's patatoes

I'm back from France where I am taking this recipe.
There, do it with "fromage blanc" (hard to find in Italy may be substituted with cottage cheese) and the crème fraiche (found in large supermarkets or you can replace it with a cream made from 2 parts mascarpoe and 1 of yogurt).
It 's a easiest recipe there is, it is fresh, tasty and is good for the first day of spring

Potatoes with fromage blanc (Pommes de terre au fromage blanc)
  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 500 g fromage blanc
  • 6 tablespoons crème fraiche (or 4 tablespoons of mascarpone cheese and 2 of yogurt )
  • a small bunch of chives
  • salt

I wash the potatoes and boil its with the peel in salted water.
Meanwhile, wash and dry the chives. Mix the crème fraiche and fromage blanc.
With the help of a pair of scissors cut the chives into small pieces and add to cheese.
Sprinkle with salt.
Once cooked, serve the potatoes and cheese separately.
Each peel their own potatoes and take the amount of cheese he wants.
For a meal more "formal" (but this recipe is NOT for a formal dining) I open the potatoes in half and stuffed with the sauce.
At this point, as Julia Child used to say "Bon appétit!"
